Locally forged sourced and processed clay from Northern California, these pieces showcase the distinctive character of soda-fired ceramics. Hand-applied slips derived from foraged regional clays, stones, and wood ash create a nuanced surface. The control firing process employs oxygen reduction to develop the rich, varied colorations and textural depth inherent to the clay body and slip compositions. This technique creates subtle variations between pieces its own identity.
