In Japan, the 88th day after the beginning of spring is known as Hachijyu-hachiya. Traditionally, tea picked on this particular day is believed to be especially delicious—and drinking it is said to bring good health and good fortune for the year ahead.
This organic green tea is harvested in Kirishima, Japan on that very day.
