Morihata Organic Matcha — Waka, Traditional Ceremonial Grade

Regular price $28.00 Sale

For the days when making matcha is less about getting going and more about enjoying the moment.

Waka is an organic ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, Japan, with a deep, mellow flavor and an especially smooth finish. There’s more to discover in each sip, making it a lovely choice for anyone who enjoys drinking matcha simply prepared with water.

The tea leaves are grown in Uji, one of Japan’s most celebrated tea-growing regions. Before harvest, they are carefully shaded to develop their rich green color and distinctive flavor. Once harvested, the leaves are slowly stone-ground at just 30 grams per hour, preserving the freshness and character of the tea.

Whisk a small amount with water until a soft layer of foam appears, then take your time with it. Waka is smooth enough to drink on its own and interesting enough that you’ll notice a little more each time you make it.

A beautiful matcha for quiet mornings, afternoon breaks, or whenever you want the preparation itself to be part of the pleasure.

Certified organic and produced in Uji, Japan.
