Morihata Organic Kirishima Loose Leaf Green Tea

Regular price $32.00 Sale

A Japanese green tea that’s just as lovely cold as it is warm.

Kirishima is an organic loose leaf green tea with a fresh, mild flavor and a beautiful deep green color. The leaves are steamed for about twice as long as a typical sencha, which softens some of green tea’s natural bitterness and creates a cup that feels smooth, refreshing, and easy to enjoy.

Brew it warm and you may notice hints of cucumber and freshly cut grass, followed by a light floral note at the finish. The longer steaming also breaks the leaves down a little more, so don’t be surprised to find some fine tea leaves settling into your cup—it’s part of what gives Kirishima its rich green color and character.

And when the weather is warm, try it cold. Brew a pitcher and keep it in the refrigerator for an easy afternoon drink. It’s crisp, refreshing, and a completely different way to enjoy Japanese green tea.

This is the kind of tea you don’t need to overthink. Make a cup, pour it over ice if you feel like it, and enjoy.

Detailed brewing instructions are included with each tin.

Organically grown in Kirishima, Japan.
