Some fragrances tell you exactly what they are. NOHIBA was made to leave something to the imagination.
First created in 1868 under Alphonse Piver, NOHIBA comes from the archives of L.T. Piver, one of the historic perfume houses of France. It was born during a period when Europe was captivated by ancient and vanished worlds, and perfumers gave their creations names meant not to describe a scent, but to conjure one.
More than 150 years later, NOHIBA returns.
Cinnamon and mandarin appear first—warm spice cut with a flash of citrus. Then the fragrance darkens. Rose meets smoky olibanum and leather before settling into vanilla, amber, and dry papyrus.
The effect is warm, resinous, and quietly mysterious. There is sweetness here, but it lives among smoke, worn leather, spice, and something almost parchment-like. It feels less like stepping back in time than finding something from another time that still feels strangely alive.
Relaunched in 2026, NOHIBA also introduces L.T. Piver’s Perfume Extracts Collection. At a 30% concentration, the fragrance is richer and more concentrated, allowing its amber, resins, woods, and spices to unfold slowly on the skin.
The historic L.T. Piver bottle returns with a brushed matte cap, presented in a deep Bordeaux case with gold lettering.
An 1868 fragrance, awakened again.
