At first glance, it looks like a beautifully simple memo pad. Pick it up, and you realize each page is actually made from wood.
Kizara memo pads are created by carefully shaving remarkably thin sheets from a solid block of Japanese red pine. The natural grain remains visible across every page, giving each sheet its own pattern, texture, and character. No two are exactly alike.
The wood is sourced from surplus tree thinning in Japan, a forestry practice that removes select trees to give the surrounding forest more room to grow. Rather than letting this beautiful material go unused, Kizara transforms it into something practical and tactile for everyday life.
Each pad contains approximately 40 wood sheets and can be used for notes, small drawings, messages, or simply kept on your desk as an object to enjoy. The compact Small size slips easily into a bag and also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who appreciates Japanese design, stationery, or beautifully made everyday objects.
