Handcrafted in small batches in Gifu, Japan, this black matcha bowl is made in the traditional katakuchi style, with a small spout along one side. Whisk your matcha directly in the wide bowl, then use the spout to pour it neatly into a second cup or bowl for sharing.

The generous shape gives your whisk plenty of room to move, making it easy to work the matcha into a smooth, creamy foam. Once it’s ready, the gently tapered spout makes pouring feel natural and controlled.

Finished in a deep black glaze, the bowl creates a beautiful contrast against the vibrant green of freshly whisked matcha. Its handmade shape and subtle variations in the glaze give each piece its own character—something you notice a little more every time you use it.
