Handmade sake cup, thrown on a potters wheel and faceted while still wet to create an organic shaped but multi-sided design. The clay and glaze materials for these are entirely foraged in Northern California and minimally processed to allow the natural beauty to show through.
This glaze is made almost entirely from local granite and minimally milled to give a pleasantly rugged feel. Finished with designs made in ilmenite, a local iron/titanium material.
Approximately 2-2.5" tall and holds about 2oz. Please note: due to the handmade nature of my work, shape and surface will vary somewhat from piece to piece.
