Regular price $100.00 Sale

These are handmade (forged) garden scissors .

The distinctive blade is razor sharp and perfect for cutting plants. The entire process is done by hand, and the handle is colored by baking in a heating oven, so no chemicals used in general painting are used.

The maximum cutting capacity of this product is approximately 10 mm diameter of raw wood

It is a tool for flower cutting, flower arrangement, and gardening.

Please note that it may be damaged if you cut or use it unreasonably other than plants.

※Shrubs, artificial flowers, wire, and bamboo cannot be cut.

After use, we recommend that you wipe off the dirt attached to the main body (especially the blade) and store it in the toolbox or indoors. When wiping off dirt, wiping with blade oil (or sewing machine oil) to protect the main body will make it less likely to rust.

If you want to re-sharpen the blade yourself, please use a special sharpener and sharpener.

Total length: 200 mm

Blade length: 70mm

Toyama Cutlery was founded during the Bunkyū era of the Edo period. In 1861, the first generation started manufacturing wooden scissors on Sanjō Jūbei Kōji, now known as Shinmei-chō. The techniques have been carried on by subsequent generations, establishing them as the hereditary masters of Echigo wooden scissors.

Toyama Cutlery’s scissors are crafted using traditional techniques like “forge welding,” “back grinding,” and “double-edging,” gaining love and trust from customers worldwide for their exceptional quality. We combine traditional skills with modern machine technology to continually improve the sharpness, durability, and overall quality. With a commitment to preserving our cherished tradition, we aim to deliver enduring trust and quality to our customers, upholding a legacy of 160 years.
